Nine Japanese professional baseball teams and three from Korea use Okinawa for their annual spring training camp in February, at various venues including locations on Miyako and Ishigaki islands. This is a great opportunity for the general public to observe professional ballplayers practicing as well as intra-squad games and exhibition matches.
