Memorial lantern floating ceremony

A special ceremony preceding Irei no Hi, Okinawa's Memorial Day. The toro nagashi, or lantern floating ceremony, is a traditional observance for the spirits of the deceased. Participants will have an opportunity to construct their own floating lantern, light a candle for a departed loved one and set it afloat on the pond.
