Ryugujo Butterfly Garden

Okinawa is well known among butterfly lovers for its rare specimens, such as the Futaocho (great nawab), designated a protected species, and the Konohacho (orange oakleaf), which camouflages itself to resemble fallen leaves. The butterfly garden, located near Ocean Expo Park, has a 1,662-square-meter greenhouse, known as Chouchou House, where you can have the unique experience of numerous butterflies landing on you. Remember that visitors wearing bright red clothing or headgear will attract more butterflies. In addition, the garden also exhibits a variety of insects and has a souvenir shop and restaurants that offer an ocean view.
