Okinawa’s biggest pet celebration is back! Onoyama Pawful Fest 2026 brings together more than 50 pet-related vendors from across the prefecture for two full days of fun, shopping, and hands-on experiences for animal lovers and their furry friends.

From popular local pet shops and grooming salons to dog cafés, handmade pet food makers, stylish dog apparel, and unique pet accessories—this is your chance to discover the very best Okinawa can treat your pet with, all in one place. Whether you’re shopping for treats, upgrading your pup’s wardrobe, or just browsing for something special, there’s something for everyone.

Dog Run (Two Sessions Per Day)

Let your pup burn off some energy at the event dog run!

• Morning Session:10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Afternoon Session:2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
  (Participants rotate between sessions.)

Cost: ¥800 per dog (per session), ¥200 for each additional dog. Proof of rabies vaccination and a combination vaccine administered within the past year is required.

Adoption & Rescue Booths

Local animal rescue organizations will be on site, making this a wonderful opportunity for anyone considering welcoming a new family member.

At 15:00 each day, join the Fureai Adoption Gathering, where visitors can interact with rescue dogs, enjoy short walking experiences, and learn more about adoption in a relaxed, welcoming setting. It’s a heartwarming way to connect and possibly meet your future best friend.

Interactive Experiences

In addition to shopping and the dog run, enjoy a variety of participatory events, including a cooking workshop led by local favorite Bonico, plus many other fun, family-friendly activities happening throughout the weekend.
