Acerola Festival 2026 Brings Music, Food and Family Fun to Motobu

The 4th Acerola Festival 2026 will take place this Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Tancha Park in Motobu Town, bringing a full day of music, gourmet food, shopping, and family-friendly entertainment to northern Okinawa.

Naming itself as the Okinawa’s acerola-growing capital, Motobu Town has a long history with the tropical fruit. Acerola cultivation was first introduced to the area in 1958, and today Motobu and Itoman remain the only places in Japan where acerola is commercially grown.

This lively festival celebrates Okinawa-grown acerola with everything from refreshing sweets and frozen drinks to exclusive new product launches. One of the highlights of the event is the unveiling of brand-new acerola products, which will also be available in limited quantities after the presentation. Visitors can also enjoy popular items such as the award-winning Acerola Frozen, recipient of the Okinawa Governor’s Award.

Beyond the acerola treats, the festival will feature a wide selection of food vendors, kitchen cars, acerola-themed goods, and activities for all ages. Families can enjoy a large kids’ area with more than 10 different games and attractions, while the stage program will keep the atmosphere lively throughout the day.

Special guest performers include the popular Okinawan music duo D-51, along with dance performances, live music, comedy, and street magic shows.

If you are looking for a fun local event packed with tropical sweets and entertainment, Acerola Festival 2026 is a perfect spring outing in Motobu.
