Motobu Town, home of the famous Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, has been hosting a variety of events to promote bullfighting as the town's new tourist attraction. The Motobu Tourism & Culture Festa is part of this effort and features a number of fun programs including goat fights, providing a rare opportunity to see the animals butting horns with each other, Okinawan sumo and folk music in addition to bullfighting matches in which one-ton bulls compete to show superior strength and endurance. Another highlight of the event is the drawing with its unique prizes, including a live young goat. Tickets are available for purchase at hotels in Motobu Town, at the Kyoda Road Station and at the Motobu Tourist Association.
