This is an international eisa festival held under the themes "umui” (thought), "chimudon” (emotion) and "shinkanucha” (interaction/friends). Umui means the creation of a stronger network of eisa teams from across the globe by sharing thoughts about Okinawa, life and love. Chimudon implies the passionate eisa performances that touch the hearts of every spectator. Shinkanucha expresses an opportunity to discover your new self and make new friends.

At the Worldwide Eisa Festival, held annually in winter, visitors can enjoy both traditional eisa shows by local groups and unique performances by Gosamaru Daiko (Nakagusuku-village), Naha Daiko, several groups from overseas and other eisa groups known for their new-style eisa with innovative elements. Among the main highlights of the event are the competitions featuring traditional and creative eisa dances.
