Great food, local discoveries and hands-on adventures are the hallmarks of the 2026 Chatan Industry Fair, taking place November 7–8, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the area beside Chatan Park Baseball Stadium, across from AEON Chatan.

This community celebration showcases Chatan’s products, businesses and creative spirit. Whether you’re looking for something delicious, an unusual experience or a fun day out with the kids, the fair offers plenty of reasons to stop by and explore.

Follow your appetite through the booths to discover food and products born in Chatan. One tempting highlight is Chatan Salt Milk Gelato, the winner of the top prize at this year’s 22nd Chatan Town Product Contest. Their booth offers an excellent excuse to take a sweet break between the fair’s activities.

There’s more to taste and take home, too. The special guest booth from Kagamiishi, Fukushima Prefecture, features regional specialties from mailnad Japan, including rice, apples and jams, adding to the local lineup.

For families, the activity areas promise some of the day’s biggest smiles. Chitan Land features opportunities to experience construction equipment such as excavators and elevated work platforms. They are popular attractions that draw lines each year. Children can also enjoy meeting goats, while the Chatan Tourism Association’s booth offers a slightly unusual bicycle-riding experience worth checking out.

Emergency vehicles add another exciting attraction. A fire truck experience is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., followed by a police car demonstration on Sunday, November 8, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The festival also has plenty of stage shows and live music performances, including Polynesian dance from 16:30, and magic and street performances on Saturday. On Sunday, Uechi-ryu karate demonstrations start at noon and Eisa is on stage from 4:15 p.m.

More entertainment is onstage with a colorful mix of live music, Okinawan eisa, Polynesian dance, magic and street performances, offering a time to catch a show and soak up the atmosphere between browsing booths, sampling treats and trying experiences.
